The FM was commenting on Somalia’s success in gaining a seat on the UN Security Council as he said that resolving the conflict came at a suitable time when Somalia became a member of the general assembly where international decisions are made.
“The conflict has been resolved, and it was resolved through Somalia’s patience. We cannot be provoked or act aggressively, diplomacy is not about that, if we hadn’t sat with Ethiopia, this Somali victory wouldn’t have happened,” said Minister Fiqi.
It appears that the two countries have reached an understanding following the Ankara talks brokered by Turkish prime minister Erdogan.
