The government called on elders, religious scholars, women, and intellectuals to intervene and quell the escalating violence and stop the bloodshed.
The Federal Government of Somalia’s appeal comes as intense fighting between clan militias from the Leelkase and Sacad clans continues today in the Mudug region, specifically in the Jiicboor area.
This comes also when few days ago clan militias from Abgaal clan have caused significant casualties including deaths, injuries, and displacement in the district of Ceelbaraf.
